Jim Ager Jr Golf Academy
We are already planning for the 2012 season here at the Ager and nothing has us more excited than the "Ager Golf Academy". This will be a comprehensive and new strategy of teaching your children everything golf. The Golf Academy will meet 3 days a week and the students will all learn at thier own pace. We will have at least 3 levels in the Academy with progressively more difficult goals to attain before graduating on to the next level. The students will have to demonstrate certain abilities and knowledge before graduating to new levels. We understand the importance of having a safe and fun place for the children to spend thier summer days, and for more than just the hour or so it takes to play the Ager. The typical Academy day will consist of roughly 2 or so hours of instruction on various parts of the game itself, rules, ettiquette, and other less conventional activities that will help your student when he or she has a golf club in thier hands by building hand & eye coordination. Then we will finish the day by playing 9 holes. This hopefully makes it easier for you as a parent to know your child can easily spend half the day here while your at work (or playing golf yourself). More information coming on the Jr Golf Academy.

Ace for Russ Gibson!

Russ took no time at all getting warmed up Saturday morning during Fall League play. He stepped up on #1 tee box, pulled out a 6 iron and hit it in the hole. As luck would have it, it was the final day of League for the year and everyone was watching, including me. The shot landed short of the green and trickled on and just kept rolling, it took the let to right break and dropped in for an Ace.

We R Open

Yes we are open!
Even though you might see a bulldozer on the 1st hole, we are still open and will reamin open until the end of our year: November 15th (weather permitting). Not only are we open our Fall Special has kicked in: $5 green fees all day every day! All the heavy equipment makes it look much worse than it really is. In case you were wondering - simply put, a new bridge is going to be constructed on South street going over the Creek and while they are at it, a new pipe is going in that travels under the golf course.

2011 Marathon is almost Here!
This year's marathon will be held at Pioneers Golf Course on Friday, October 21st. We are looking for as many individuals as we can get to help us in our quest of assuring that the Ager will be here for our Children's Children. After the hard work of fundraising we will be rewarded with a great day of golf (as many holes as we can play) and food, drinks, prizes and some really good company and more than likely, a few good golf stories. If you value the Ager as much as we do, please take the time to help out with the event in any way you can - the reward will be great.
Check out our marathon page for more details: you can help in more ways than one! The Sponsor forms are also available on the marathon page now.
Our fundraising website is up at: http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/scott-weihe/3rdannualagergolfmarathon. It's a very easy way to make a donation and you can do it without even leaving the house. It gives us one more way to go about the fundraising activity.
